Marianne Larroze

Official tour guide in Bordeaux and Gironde

Welcome to Bordeaux and Gironde

My name is Marianne, I am thirty-eight years old, I am a national tour guide and I come from the place I have never left: Gironde.

I have been a qualified tour guide since 2009 (and an epicurean by necessity), and I am passionate about my work. I can show you the great classics of Bordeaux’s history as well as its unusual and offbeat attractions. The same goes for the wine industry!

Whether you are an individual, an association or a company, I invite you to take a look at my areas of expertise on the next page. Please do not hesitate to contact me, and together we can arrange an outing that suits you.

I should add that I am able to guide in French and English. I can also converse in Spanish.

My personalised tours in Bordeaux and Gironde

Because every traveller is unique, my tours are entirely tailor-made.
Whether you are a history buff, wine enthusiast or foodie, we will work together to create the perfect itinerary.
Here is an overview of the main themes I offer.

Bordeaux City:
Urban and themed tours

Long known as “Sleeping Beauty”, Bordeaux is now a vibrant city listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Combining classic elegance with a relaxed atmosphere, let yourself be guided through its 2,000 years of history.

On foot, by bike or by tram, we will explore its prestigious monuments, majestic quays and secret neighbourhoods. From the epic history of the wine trade to the most authentic gourmet addresses, discover a city on a human scale where every street has a story to tell.

Vineyards:
Tailor-made wine tours

Left bank, right bank or Entre-deux-Mers? With 65 appellations and 112,000 hectares of vineyards, the Bordeaux wine region is a world unto itself, where wine is intimately linked to water.

Create your ideal experience according to your desires: the power of Cabernets from the left bank or the roundness of Merlots from Saint-Émilion. Between tastings at the estate, visits to charming villages and picnics in the vineyards, I will help you make the right choices for an authentic immersion in the heart of the wine-growing heritage.

But also...:
Nature, coastline and unusual discoveries

The Gironde is not limited to its stones and vineyards; it reveals itself through a veritable triptych: heritage, nature and coastline. It is a multifaceted region that invites you to strike the perfect balance between active days and contemplative moments.

From the Arcachon Basin to the troglodyte villages of the Estuary, via the Landes forests and the charming Bergerac region, I offer you a break from the beaten track. Far from the usual itineraries, let’s set off to meet passionate artisans and discover hidden gems for a more intimate and authentic experience of our region.
